Laura’s Answer

In the next five years, I want to be in a position where I am mentoring others who are new to the insurance field and help individuals that are struggling with work/life balance. These are activities I currently do and they are important enough to me that I want to continue these pursuits throughout my entire career.

If you are struggling deciding your five year plan, first determine where you have the most passion. Be sure in five years, you are continuing to pursue your passion in your job. Even if you aren't in your "dream" job, there should be a component of your current role that gets you excited and motivated because you have a passion for an aspect of the job. You are most engaged in areas where you have true passion. That allows you to grow and demonstrate your value which makes your work valuable.

Mark’s Answer

As a leader, I hope to help others realize their potential. I'm older so I like to set the example for my co-workers and subordinates. Throughout my career, my focus has been on customer service and training so I tend to view things through that lens.

Hwal’s Answer

Imariah,

In 5 years I'll be a practicing PA somewhere, since I'm a PA student. I'm drawn to primary healthcare, so I hope to be able to feel by then that I'm applying as much of what I'm learning in order to help as many community members as possible.

Sammy’s Answer

Keep mind open, as long as I can apply 70% of my knowledge, skillset from my current job, I would take the challenge  on rest 30%. Do not try anything if you are clueless of it.
