I suggest setting a goal of completing a course on a free coding resource like Codecademy (https://www.codecademy.com/) to understand the basic tools that we use to solve problems in the tech world. This is good background whether you want to be a developer or understand the work of developers as a member of a different team at a tech company. I did this myself and found that references to what I learned in these courses made a substantial difference in understanding my clients as a tech attorney.

It is great that you want to enter tech field. There is so much going on here. So you need to identify which area you need to specialize in- within technology domain. It could be one of the following or more:

• AI/ML
• Data Science
• Networking
• Programming

Spend extra 1 or 2 hours on your interested technologies. you can participate in Summer techno camp as well. Start joining group study and have a mentor in your group study.  Kinldy participate TV Quiz shows.

some of the interesting moves happening around in technology is automation , zero touch programmable network provisioning , virtualization is soon replacing how we running application on standalone hardware and utilizing hardware resource in efficient ways

You would need to have software coding skills ,basic interconnect networking

Technology drives the way we work, live, play and learn. Based on your interests there are formal and informal ways of getting into technology learning. It would be best to find a mentor in the field to guide you.
