Vocational schools right now are offering a lot of classes online. I went to school for Mechanical Engineering and studied HVAC. It is an NEEDED field. People are mad when they call you (because their AC or HEAT won't work right) but boy are they happy when you fix things. I always enjoy fixing things and making people happy. We need good technicians in this field and your job will only grow in demand.


Good luck! get a certification at night and work for a good company during the day!

You can learn more about the different types and air conditioners online. Learn the basics and installation procedures online(google/youtube). Get hands-on experience from AC installation vendor by working with them.
