Sachin’s Answer

Hi Eunice,

Thanks for the question. To become a PT, one needs a bachelor's degree and Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree. Most physical therapists hold a doctorate, which usually takes three years to complete. Master’s degrees take two years.

As far as the skills are concerned, this following links lists them out: https://www1.cfnc.org/Plan/For_A_Career/Career_Profile/Career_Profile.aspx?id=lZtrgksdDniauceCG784ZgXAP3DPAXXAP3DPAX&screen=3

I hope this helps and good luck!

Rodolfo’s Answer

As long as you have a good heart for other people’s well being, you’ll be a great therapist. I’ve met housekeeping workers who are more caring than nurses and doctors. Go figure.
