Usually yes but it will depend on which shop you work for.

Like Allen said it depends. There are some places (more chain than independent businesses) will actually pay more if you bring your own tools to work. That is actually a big source of revenue for the trucks you see driving around selling tools (like Harbor Freight Tools & etc.)

Since policy is different with each business definitely worth a research into each location you are considering.
