Hi Kiana,

A major in finance and a minor in accounting would open the door for a variety of different paths. Some industries that may fit in well with that combination include: accounting (including PwC!), banking, investment management, consulting and tons more. While these industries can vary greatly in terms of day to day responsibility, all of them rely heavily on similar fundamentals you would learn with a major in finance and a minor in accounting or similar business majors. Try looking up some of the roles within the industries mentioned and see if any of them catch your eye or match up with your interests!

Best,
Mike

Similar to the response above, I also work at PwC and would recommend it to anyone interested in business/finance/accounting. A public accounting firm opportunity will open up a lot of doors for you with exposing you to several industries and give you first hand exposure to clients. You are provided with a vast amount of experience in little time. At PwC, and any other Big 4 Accounting Firm, you can choose from Assurance, Tax or Advisory Services - under each of these umbrellas there are several more specialized groups. Although the firm is heavily made up of individuals with an accounting background, there are many opportunities for those who have a finance, economics, IT/Computer science, law backgrounds and many more!
