It depends on your critical thinking skills and your ability to understand complex machinery and its inter-working components. I recommend staying on top of the auto industry's advances and paying attention to previous years' models so you can understand the progression.

With enough time and effort in an industry, you will be tackling complex tasks with your eyes closed.

Cars are somewhat universal in the process and parts that they need.
With enough practice, it becomes second nature. Everything ends up being part of a learning curve, you just gotta be used to what you do and interested in it
