Ernane’s Answer

Planning. It is good to plan your course as a whole, not a sequence of independent classes. So planning a course, here, means creating activities that will relate contents from your syllabus.

Strategy. You will have to repeat yourself a lot. It is good to have different approaches to a same subject, because different people learn differently.

Art. You don't need to be an actor, but it is important to think of learning as an aesthetic experience: activities such as listening to conferences, developing experiments, writing an essay are much more engaging when the environment is pleasant.

Ernane recommends the following next steps:

Think of an engaging project for your discipline that will connect diverse contents from the program

Rebecca’s Answer

Being a teacher can be a very rewarding career, but it can be difficult at times! It is important to be patient, as students will always have a lot of questions for you and you need to be able to handle that. You also need to be creative and be able to present information in a captivating way that not only grabs the students' attention but ensures that they retain the information. Teachers often deal with students from all types of backgrounds, so it is extremely important to be empathetic and understanding of all situations that students are in. Both of my parents are teachers and work in education, so I have seen everything!

Rebecca recommends the following next steps:

Conduct research about different levels and types of teaching
