Not that old, actually! The first car was built in 1885 by Karl Benz, and as they started to become more and more widespread throughout society, there was a rising demand for people that would be able to take apart and repair these vehicles. The rest is pretty much history, and today car mechanics exist in all cities, supplying important maintenance and repair services to everybody!

Not very old, actually Henry Ford was the first one to introduce some concepts for mass production that we still use. Ford company was founded around 1901. And if you allow me a personal opinion the automotive company is changing every month to produce better cars, lower costs and less environmental impact.

So if you are interested in having a career related to this field is important to consider that constant knowledge updates are key.
