Justin’s Answer

Hey Antonio, I was sent your question because I am a physical therapist. I’m in Texas, so can’t really help out with finding you work, but I’m here to answer any questions you have regarding PT, if that is the route you plan to take. With any healthcare profession, the more experience the better, especially with applying to graduate program. If you are looking for employment & plan on pursuing a career in PT, any entry level position at a hospital, rehab or clinic will help. A tech job would be perfect. No experience required, you get to see what it’s like to work in that setting & great for your resume in the future. All of the techs where I work are perusing a career in PT.

Justin, PT

Gurpreet’s Answer, CareerVillage.org Team

Hi Antonio, Gurpreet from CareerVillage.org here! This site is specifically designed as a space for students to ask career questions to professionals in the field that they are hoping to get into. You mentioned that you are looking for medical experience/work. You can start by asking questions on how you can get that experience you are looking for. Perhaps you are curious on how to prepare for job/volunteer interviews? I'd be happy to help you brainstorm potential questions you can ask!
