Facility Maintenance can look like a lot of things.
- Maintenance Manager
- Grounds Crew Maintenance
- Facility Technician
- Maintenance Worker
- Janitor
- Maintenance Technician / Engineer
- Equipment Maintenance
- Plumber
- HVAC
- Painting
- Floor Specialist

All of these jobs include maintaining grounds or a building to keep it looking its best. A lot of these positions are contracted, where you work with the building/grounds owner, to assist in keeping their property running properly. Salary/payment for each position varies greatly, as does demand and the amount of skill and certifications needed.

I would first start at looking at what types of jobs within Facility Maintenance look the most interesting, then finding training programs/certifications within your area to start learning more on what you'd need to land a job in that field.

Facility Maintenance is about keeping the plant /facility/manufacturing/building operating with its basic needs. Basic needs of a facility are HVAC, water, Lighting, Sewage , ground maintenance, etc. Maintenance person is needed to keep each basic need operating smoothly. It includes daily checks for pressure and leaks, keeping temperature at desired level, clean premisses etc.
In order to be a member of Facility Maintenance team requirements vary. From an engineering degree to high school diploma.
