When is the right time to take the SAT's and how many times should I take it?

I am a current junior in high school and I am taking the upcoming SAT on June 4, but wondering if I should take it another time. #sat

Thank you comment icon Thanks for Asking! At my school we take the SAT during our junior year, but you probably should take the SAT fairly early, during your Soph-Jun summer. Most people suggest taking the SAT at most 3 times, by then you should have a fairly strong score, and make sure to study in between. Hope this Helps! Quinton

Rachel’s Answer

I would start out by taking this first exam and finding out your exam results. If you meet your goal score there will be no need to take it again. If you have a long way to go to meet your goal score, you may need to dedicate a few months to studying prior to taking the exam again.
