when should i take the LSAT?

i heard that before going to law school you need to do a test. when is the best moment to do it. #law

Usually people take it 6 months to 1 year before going to law school. You should study for at least a couple of months to ensure the best score.


I respectfully disagree with the other gentleman who answered your question; do not take it twice if you don't have to. Some schools take the highest score, some schools average your scores, and others look at all your scores as a whole.

Thank you comment icon I also agree that you should not take it twice unless you really did not do well the first time. I took it in June of my junior year of college since I was planning on going straight through to law school after undergrad. This way in case you need to take it again you will have time to take it during the fall of your senior year. Courtney Johnson
