The test will depend on which certification you want and https://www.txcourts.gov/fsc/licensing/licensing-exam/. Looks like there are two in TX, the General Forensic Analyst Licensing Exam or the General Forensic Technician and Biology Screener Exam.

As a college student, you can take the exam if you're enrollment at an accredited university and are within 24 credit hours of graduating.
