Somebody has to design, install, test, upgrade, maintain, monitor, expand, back up, restore, repair, tune, and secure these systems.
Database Administrators do all that.
And the demand is very high for DBAs because the Internet and all businesses use computer database systems, and in particular the Internet just keeps growing and growing globally.
When I got into computer programming, I enjoyed it, but I also knew it would pay fairly well, and jobs would always be available through my life and wherever I live.
Hope that helps. Good luck to you!
Yes it will always continue to be in demand. Latest DB is the world ? Answer: Dr Google. As all the others have commented. This demand isn't going to change anytime some, maybe the platforms but the data will always need to be structured by a DBA
