Farhan’s Answer

Hi Kimberly. Master degree along with practical experience would be the best choice.
Thank you comment icon Could you give more detail as to why this would be the best choice? It would make your answer more helpful for the student Gurpreet Lally, Admin
Thank you comment icon I personally believe that having a master degree will take the career path to a different trajectory. It garners more respect among the employers and also the community. It will help to enhance the professional network. In addition to better stipend, it also sometime help to gain niche knowledge that other people in the field might not know. Farhan Zafar

Dan’s Answer

Hi Kimberly,

Some fellow co workers of mine have gotten their Masters degree and were happy that they did it AFTER working in the workforce full time for a few years. It gave them a better sense of what was actually out there before making the big commitment of a Masters degree program.

A good friend of mine in the Construction industry got a degree in Construction management as that was his career choice. After working in the field for 5 years he decided he wanted to take the next steps and start his own company. He went back and got his Masters Degree in Business to help with that aspect of things to complement his experience and degree in the field.

So i would say that my best advice to you would be to get your degree first and gain some experience in your chosen field and then make that decision.

Hope this helps.

Dan
