Yolancia’s Answer

I received my national EKG certification through the The National Healthcareer Association (NHA). You do not need a bachelor's degree to complete the training/exam.

Prior to specializing in obstetrics and gynecology, medical school will cover the basic skills of administering and readings EKGs.

Massiel’s Answer

You need to be able to read EKGs. In medical school you learn how to read EKGs. You won’t necessarily have to do many in your career but definitely need to know EKGs. But don’t be turned away from being an OBGYN as reading an EKG will be easy for you!
