I want to be able to know how much time it’ll take off my day to be a animator and what would be my usual schedule. #animation

Hi Xochitl! I work an average 9:00 to 5:00 (8 Hour schedule), but there are plenty of opportunities (freelance or otherwise) that may accommodate different schedules, whether those be more condensed hours or more spread out hours depending on the project. The main thing to keep in mind is patience and consistency. Animation can take a very long time, so it’s important to keep that in mind. If you stay consistent, take, breaks, and don’t get discouraged you’ll do just fine!

Brandon’s Answer

Typically the amount of hours that an animator work for tends to be 40 hours a week, but usually goes beyond the 40 hours to try and meet deadlines for projects. There are many animators that need to work "overtime", in order to reach the date required for the deadline, normally going into weekends and evenings in order to reach that goal. If you work freelance that number can change depending on the project.
