How long does Cosmetology school take to complete?

I talked with my hair dresser about this question. Cosmetology school can vary in length depending on what you want to do. Since her focus was hair, she completed the program in two years. Your challenge is to determine what you want to do in cosmetology. My hairdresser opted out of making a career with skin and nails, just focusing on hair. You should consider what skills you want to offer to your clients, as well as whether or not you want to work for yourself as a part of a salon or spa. At a spa, being a specialist with a wide knowledge of your subject (such as hair) can be an advantage. As a business owner, offering more services (hair and nails) could help you grow your business.
I believe it is important to try and visualize your idea scenario in Cosmetology. If you do not know, I would say go to different people - those who specialize on something like nails and those who use a wider variety of skills at once. Talk to them about why they do what they do and how it makes them feel.
