I'm not sure if you are still looking for any advice, but I would suggest exploring what kind of designer you want to be first. First, whether you want to design something physical or digital would be a good starting point. To design something physical, such as architecture and cars, you also need engineering knowledge. To design something digitally, you can consider becoming a graphic designer and user experience designer. You can also consider becoming an engineer to help implementing a front-end design as well. There are a lot of ways to help design something.
