Melanie’s Answer

Hi Lizeth, I think one of the hardest things about working in the dance industry is to stay self-disciplined. It's important to stick to your systems and routines when it comes to your practice. In addition to that, it's important to stay disciplined in your mind and in your belief and confidence in yourself because you'll need that when it comes to creating your own work, or auditioning for dance companies.

Amit’s Answer

Hardest part of dance industry is keeping your mood and body fit to overcome any emotions. Dance is an activity which general people do when they are happy. People cannot dance when they are unhappy. So dealing with emotions as a dance professional is very important to keep going. Regular exercise helps in keeping the body fit and controlling emotions.
Last but not the least, keep dancing and enjoy the life. Don't think much about the hardest part and keep going.

Kathy’s Answer

The hardest part of working in the dance industry is definitely the self-doubt. It's a performative piece, and others will always have something to say, but what's most important is how you feel about yourself. Dancing brings about confidence for some, and when you focus on your technical skills (i.e: popping, rhythm, flow), it is easy to become discouraged.
