Hey! I recommend the same as above, to take classes in communication and hospitality. This will help with tour guide skills and provide you the knowledge to grow within the role. I would also suggest taking classes on regions you are interested in being a tour guide in. Good luck!

First determine if you want to specialize as a tour guide. Do you want to focus on cities? if so, then history / arts / art history / culture should be part of you curriculum. Are you going to focus on adventure / nature? Then biology / geography and other science classes will be useful. Are you planning to work in another country? Then that language is a necessity.

Classes you should probably take in college if you want to be a tour guide or most likely courses in communication and in hospitality. Some of the classes you should take will also depend on what type of place you plan to be a tour guide for. For example, if you are trying to find a tour guide for a location that has a lot of geographical structures, you should probably take a class in geology to have more in-depth knowledge to explain to the guests.
