Can Culinary Arts become a successful career?

I may have worked a Culinary job at Easterseals Academy, but it was fulfilling for a little while. My cousin works at the Popeyes near her house and she plans to use that job as a stepping stone to working in a fancy restaurant. My dream was to own a restaurant growing up,but now, i'm doubtful if i have the skills for this.

Yes. It depends how much you want it. If you start from the bottom at a high end establishment, remain humble, network, learn, and work hard, you can definitely become successful. Remember. Nothing good in life comes easy.

Hey Dennis,

Culinary arts can definitely become a successful career as long as you are committed, have a genuine interest in that field and love to cook. Don't allow doubt or fear overtake your dream of wanting to own your own restaurant! It's not going to be easy along the way but as long as you have the drive, determination and faith your dream of owning your own restaurant can happen. You're just getting started so you have time to stick to the plan and continue on the path to fulfill your dream.

Culinary art is more than just the food industry path too. There are food critics who use their knowledge to judge the quality of local restaurants, if you're like me and love social media =) you can be a foodie influencer to keep your followers in-the-know on local hotspots or a food blogger where you make your own recipes and share with the world your best dishes.

Wishing you much success!
