Hello Ousmane, thank you for your question. The truth is everyone has a different college experience, speaking for myself I had a wonderful experience. At first it seemed like every week I would change my mind about what I wanted to do. And even that started to change after about a year and a half I really began to get my footing, I was surer of myself and I was finally able to at peace with what I wanted to do with my life, I hope your able to achieve that kind of peace.

Hi Ousmane,
My tips about college would be to always be constantly working hard. That refers to organizing you notes everyday. Not taking too much time off from the process that you have going on. Reading all of the material suggested and assigned and also going that extra mile by adding more to your reading list to broaden your horizons.

Also talk to other students about the way they handle school and be open to sharing your thoughts about what you are doing to excel in school. And lastly talk to advisors and professors for their input too.

Rebecca’s Answer

Thank you for your question.
The college time is one of happiest moments in my life. In the college, you can choose to stay in dorm or stay at home. I recommend you can consider to stay in dorm. It is a good opportunity for you to start living independently and you can meet a lot of people. Some of these people may become your life time friend.
On the other hand, you can participate many extra curriculum activities. You can join and become the organisers as well. This is valuable experience.
On academic side, it focuses on training your critical thinking and analysis skills. You will find much fun in the learning.
Hope this helps and enjoy your college life! Good Luck!

Ousmane,
I’m glad you rec’d a lot of replies to your question! I echo the advice you’ve been given; however, I would also add that if you must get a student loan to pay for college, it’s best to borrow only what you need. Many loans offer far more than what is actually needed to attend school, and then people end up racking up huge amounts of debt that are difficult to pay off.
