You need to have clients that are ready willing and able to pay you for your services. You need to have trusted vendors to supply goods for your projects. You need to have well established time billing tracking and billing habits. You need to have trusted sub contractors. You need insurance. You need to be prepared for fluctuating income from month to month. You need to plan 30% of your net income for taxes. You need to do it all if you are a solo practitioner.
