T.J.’s Answer

Hello, Samiur!

Mechanical Engineering's a big field. I also noticed on your profile that your interests are in:

- Computer Software
- Software Engineering
- Management

I know that some colleges have Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Technology.

Some of the fields you can work in are:
- Machine Manufacturing
- Aerospace Manufacturing
- Equipment Manufacturing
- Biotechnology
- Acoustical Engineering
- Nanotechnology
- Electrical / Circuitry

You can look up specific job titles in these ME fields. Many of these fields deal with software, so you'll be able to pick up these skills too.

Regardless of which ME you choose, there's high earning potential possible for you.

Here's some of the reports from the BLS:

Mechanical Engineering
Mean Entry Level Salary - $66,889
Mean Annual Salary - $97,000
Top 10 Percent Salary - $136,210

ME Technology
Mean Entry Level Salary - $70,377
Mean Annual Salary - $107,800
Top 10 Percent Salary - $164,690
