How should I go about getting involved on my campus?
I transferred into my current university halfway through my freshman year. I'm a junior now and I still struggle to find clubs and activities on campus that I can get involved in; any tips for a shy guy trying to get involved on campus?

If your campus has a student involvement/activity center, I would recommend reaching out to them and seeing what clubs/activities they offer that match your interests. It doesn't have to be anything formal, it can be as simple as asking them what activities they have lined up for the next few weeks.
Alternatively, you could even reach out to your professors in classes that you really enjoy and see if they could recommend you any clubs/activities. Professors are sometimes advisors/mentors to certain clubs on campus, and they could recommend ones that match your interests.
Getting involved on campus doesn't need to be one big change all at once, it can be incremental steps. The most important thing is that you have fun and make the most of your time and opportunities. Good luck!

Hey Ethan! In addition to looking for clubs that meet your interests, I found the student activities office on my campus to be helpful. There were few clubs that captured my interests as well when I was in college and I wanted to find a way to meet people with the same interests as me either on campus or in my community. I found that at the student activities office I could sign up to volunteer for campus events that were not club related and find local outreach programs that the college was involved with as well!

Then, once you've done that, see if there are any existing clubs that match up with activities that you enjoy.
I know it can be hard to jump into new environments, but you can look at it like a game, where you earn points for being outside your comfort zone!
