What college would you suggest going to if I want to get a degree in architecture?
I am a highschool student and I am hoping to get my associates degree by the end of highschool. I want to go into some sort of architecture or design job, but I don't know what colleges would be best for that. Do you have any suggestions?

Just thought you'd like to know, the University of Kansas has a pretty impressive architecture program that's been getting some great reviews! Also, you might want to consider Washington University in St. Louis, University of California - Berkeley, and Rhode Island School of Design. They're all fantastic options with strong programs.

A great question! I don't know the details of how expensive in-state vs out of state programs would be, but I gained plenty of skills at Ohio State that have translated from architecture into software development/UX design once I got tired of that career path.
Like Patrick mentions, doing some research into the kind of work the faculty focuses on is incredibly important, as is seeing samples of the work current/recent students have been completing. I wouldn't put as much stock into top 10 lists (no surprise, some of the most absurdly expensive colleges dominate these lists no matter what).

I currently attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. While I am not studying Architecture, I have many friends within the program. From what I know, it is a very hands on, rigorous, and fruitful program.
If you are looking for a strong program that is still in the midwest, I would look into UNL!

I think you want to try to go to a school with an accredited program but I think the internships/jobs you get during the summers is important too. Make the most out of the school you can get into and afford but working experience holds a lot of weight.
