How do you get to know professors and make the most of office hours?

I've heard going to professor office hours can be beneficial but am unsure how to approach it. #professor #office-hours

Acacia, if you need extra help dont allow any barriers to block you in seeking additonal help or your ability to ask questioms after class. I hungout in my professors office for. Chem1 and 2. It help me alot and so did other students Dr.Ojo was friendly and offered us alot of insight.


As they say just do it., you will break the ice by going to visit his/her office that speaks volumes and will open the professors view of you as a student. Also, go with a specific question in mind.

Sometimes just hovering their office and just knocking them can annoy the professors! Don't be greedy! First, most professor posts their open time on their office doors you can walk-in then. 2) Right after class ask them if it's a small clarification. If the professor thinks he may answer it at length, he/she may give it then and there or give you an appointment and please ensure to arrive five minutes before and prepare all your questions.
3) Email the professor asking for an appointment/give them a brief intro to your question. Ensure you follow-up in person if you don't hear a reply. give them at least a day!
