How much would it benefit me if I did an "internship" with special needs students before going to College?
I would like to go into that field but I am not totally sure if I should do that before I start thinking about going into the Special Education field fully.

Getting an internship in a field you are interested in prior to college can be helpful in narrowing down what you'd like to study in college and if the career path is right for you. Being able to explore a career before you invest time in studying it in college can be super beneficial. If you decide you're still passionate about working with special needs students after the internship, it will give you reassurance that you are on the right path before college and could help you pick the right school/program that will help you excel in that career. Also, it will allow you to network with professionals already in that space which could create opportunities down the road. On the other hand, if you decide that special needs education is not the correct career path long term for you after the internship, this will give you more time to think about alternatives before you go to college and it will still be a great learning experience to put on your resume. Either way, I think an internship will be very helpful for you! Best of luck!
