When taking out student loans, what should I consider doing first?

I am curious about when I should take out a student loan and how much money I should borrow.

Student loans varies from case to case basis and can last longer period, focus on how you would be paying those off and how much you can save for your own development.
Consider long term income vs cost of your area of interest. Understand what the starting salary of for that role. Keep these minimal.

- Make sure the end goal matches with what you are paying
- Try to not spend entire loan
- Do you really need to live on your own, could you live with roommates or still live at home?
- Become well versed in the repayment plans

The general wisdom is to borrow as little as possible. Do anything you can to earn scholarships or grants, which do not need to be paid back. Any money you borrow, you have to pay back WITH INTEREST.
