How did you start building your network?

I started building my network as a young man in grade school. My brother and I were brought up in a low income one parent household. We were brought to be thankful for what you have. Work harder than everyone else. Be kind to everyone. Treat people the way you want to be treated. In my career I was often the hardest worker. I did not get the job because of that. I moved up because I treated others with respect. Worked as a team player. Did whatever it took. You never know who you meet in a coffee shop today that could open a door for you tomorrow! I always ask previous bosses and clients for referrals because I know I was respected and could have whatever I wanted. You network everyday and every moment you get.
