Jane’s Answer

Hello Aja,
To be a professional in exercise science you need:
1. Completion of at least a bachelor's degree in a reputable university program such as the Department of Sports and Health Sciences or Department of Kinesiology at the University. You will be required to take courses like:
-Anatomy and Physiology
-Nutrition and Physical Performance
- Intro /Advanced Exercise Physiology
-Exercise Testing and Prescription

2. A professional certification by a reputable credentialing agency such as the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM™), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM™), or National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Earning a bachelor's degree in Sports and Health Sciences does not lead to or award these certifications, but may help prepare you to seek such certifications.

INTERNSHIP
You could have internship experience with
1. Reputable exercise science Laboratories
2. Fitness and Wellness companies
3. Research centers
