Hi Amy! You've got an exciting journey ahead, and there are some great steps you can take to shine in your field. Think about what research areas excite you and if you're open to moving for a job. While you're in undergrad, gaining experience is key. If you can join a lab, maybe with a professor you admire, it will be a big boost. Getting hands-on practice and learning the techniques firsthand will really make you stand out. Try to spend a few hours each week working with experienced lab students, especially those in grad school. This can make a big difference. If your lab takes part in research symposiums, jump in and help with posters or presentations. Having your name on journal articles and presentations looks fantastic when labs are hiring. Best of luck on your journey!
