When I go to college, can I still go for a career in tattooing?
As a sophomore in high school, I've found interest in the tattoo industry. I want to do it when I'm older, but as a side job while I go to college to double major in art and music education/composing. But my question is, would it be hard to do both college and tattooing?

Its all learning growth especially in the majoring in you will be studying as they line up from art to tattooing artist. Might be classes you can take in college to assist in part time work tattooing. Dedication and balancing is all that is needed to do what you are interested in.

Love the question! I would say this would depend on how much time you are having to spend on your classwork to keep those good grades; however, many people have side jobs to pay for school so this would be very similar to having to do that in my opinion. If you are dedicated to both, you should have no issues. It may be worth checking with local tattoo shops to see if any will work with you while you are also in school. Then you may be able to schedule your classes around when you would need to be a the tattoo shop. Best of luck! I know you can get both things done!

Hello! You can definitely work on a college degree and a tattooing career at the same time. College lets you plan your classes so you can also work on getting a tattooing license. Tattooing is a special skill and takes time to learn, but if you love it, you can do both! Good luck!
