What is the best way to not burnout and be overwhelmed as an incoming freshman to college?

I'm a high school senior about to graduate, and I plan on going to college in the fall. I'm majoring in biology and I hope to go to medical school.

Thank you for your question. The most important is to have good time management. Firstly, you need to find a good time management tool to help, eg Google Calendar, MS Outlook, phone calendar, etc
Below are my suggestions:
1. Put down the you need to attend classes
2. Allocate some time every day on assignment and projects. Avoid last minute rush. Review the material covered in the class everyday.
3. Make sure you have enough time to sleep and do some exercise
4. Put some time on the weekend for leisure and friends & family gathering
5. Assign more time for revision before assessment
Hope this helps! Good luck!
May Almighty God bless you!

You are choosing a tough career indeed... any medical path requires not only the regular college time but many more years of real training and specialization.. could be easily 10 years and also it's a continue learning, more if you are looking for PhD or similar.. so that could easily "swallow" your twenties.

But don0t worry, if this is what you want then you might feel overwhelmed in the short term but then you have the whole life to harvest what you sow. Might be difficult to see it that way during your early years but if you are really motivated then just keep going.

But there is always the chance that that is not for you, and in that case you might need to change paths but if you do it just do it very quickly... There is nothing wrong to do it when you are young if at the end you become what you wanted to be..

So your mind and willingness will be the key to bear with the burden and much work..
