What steps should I take to land my dream job?

I am currently getting my Bachelor's in Business Management Science, but would later like to get my Master's in Global Energy Management. My dream job is to work for an energy company so I can help the Earth become more sustainable, but I am not sure how to get there. #business-management #renewable-energy #energy-management

From my experience start working in your field after you have completed your bachelors degree. This will give you a sense of the type of job, environment and future paths you would need to take. You may go through a couple of jobs while you learn what it is you are looking to do. Except some challenges, growth and that your path may change. Be open to new experiences. Once you know your path target your masters to your path. You may even be able to find an employer that supports you going to get your masters and pay for it. All the best luck as you move into your future path!

Almost every job that I've landed, I got through a connection I had with someone that was already at the company. Maybe the first two jobs you get you need to impress them with your experiences at school, but after that, it's all about the connections you've made at the companies you've worked for that will get your the subsequent jobs. So, go above and beyond for those that you work with and for. Make bonds and real friendships. Have integrity. It makes work so much more enjoyable and then when they all branch out to other amazing companies, they will vouch for you. It's the best way for you to get your foot into the door. That's how I landed every one of my dream jobs across many different industries.

I would recommend if that is your dream field, stay close to that as much as possible. Get the education in that field as well. Passion for what you do is important. Establish connections within your company and the field. Self branding is super important. Don't be afraid to prospect your career. Reach out and talk to people and network.
