How can I become a CRNA?

I Am currently a senior at Sugar Salem high school and will be graduating in May 2026. I am getting my CNA in the spring of 2026 and want to continue on that nursing path.

Step 1: Check Eligibility
-Be at least 16–18 years old (varies by state).
-Have a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
-Pass a criminal background check and meet health requirements (TB test, immunizations).

Step 2: Enroll in a State-Approved CNA Training Program
-Find a program approved by your state nursing board.
-Complete 75–150+ hours of training (classroom + clinical practice).
-Learn core skills: infection control, patient care, vital signs, communication.

Step 3: Complete Training
-Attend all classes and clinical sessions.
-Practice hands-on skills under supervision.
-Prepare for the certification exam during training.

Step 4: Pass the CNA Certification Exam
-Written Test: 60–70 multiple-choice questions.
-Skills Test: Demonstrate 3–5 care tasks (e.g., handwashing, transfers).
