How do I start off if I want to be a animator/ drawer and a social media creator ?

Hello, I am interested in becoming an animator and love drawing ever since a kid. I’m in middle school right now and are looking for suggestions on how to get better and what kind of tutorials I could us to get better like apps or videos. If I could get any help it would be very much appreciated and would, greatly help boost me. I am fairly good at it and have been practicing but I feel like I can get better at it more and more. I would like to get some tips from anyone if it’s okay, thank you.

For both 3D and 2D animation it's important to learn how to draw from life. it is also important to learn the principals of animation. Read as much as you can from class animation and look for lectures from older animators.
Learn softwares. There's a lot of accessible softwares that can teach you how to animate. Look for tutorials and keep practicing. Always practice your fundamentals, and try to attend workshops.
Try things, ask for feedback and listen to the feedback.
Keep observing and try to break a little from your comfort zone.
I can't stress this enough: Go to Life Drawing. If you can't go to Life Drawing, ask your friends or family to pose for you. Draw quick poses. Draw 1 minute poses, 2 minute poses, etc. But learn how movement works.
Draw people, draw animals, draw vehicles.
Do research. Look at videos. Look at photographs.
If you learn to draw and learn how movement works, it will be easier to transfer that to computer skills.
Best of success.
I hope to see your animations in the near future.
Thank you comment icon Thank you for the feed back on this topic and how to get better at animation and tips for drawing. I didn’t know there was so much to it and how difficult it could be. How difficult was it for you at the start of your animation career Codah

When you’re first learning frame‑by‑frame animation, you don’t really need drawing skills. What matters most is understanding how things move in real life-basic physics. That foundation will help you a ton. Once you get how objects move, it becomes way easier to step into digital 2D and eventually 3D animation, because they all rely on the same physics principles. The best way to start is by learning physics in the simplest way you can check out this tutorial https://www.patreon.com/posts/112588883?collection=772082

But here’s the thing: making an animated movie isn’t just about mastering movement or drawing. At the heart of it, you need a powerful story to tell. The best stories usually carry a philosophy an idea that transforms the character’s life for the better

I'm also in middle school rn and I also freaking love art the way I got better at it is that I drew characters from fandoms I'm in I know its kina weird advice but that's how I found a art style I really like and after you draw characters from fandoms you like you could try to draw them in different styles also I'm writing this instead of doing a report about STEM so you better make it as a animator oh also sry I suck at writing anything that isn't dialogue but I'm also working on a manga I'm gonna get it published soon sorry that it has nothing to do with what you said :3 cya
