Because of how competitive jobs are now, what should I do now as someone with no interests or extracurricular activities? What are some jobs or positions that are without anything science-y, yet with good pay?

I'm interested in the choices I have when the time comes as a current Junior in High school.

It’s perfectly normal not to know what you’re interested in yet, and your interests will most likely shift throughout the years. A good first step is to try different activities like clubs, part-time jobs, volunteering, or short online courses to see what you enjoy. You don’t have to have everything figured out right now. There are many well-paying careers that are not science-related, such as jobs in business, management, marketing, skilled trades, real estate, or even technology. Exploring different experiences will help you discover what fits you best.

Don't stress about not having interests or extracurriculars figured out yet, because honestly a lot of people don't discover what they're passionate about until they start trying different things. My advice would be to just start exploring, whether that's picking up a part time job, volunteering somewhere random, or joining a club you wouldn't normally consider, because you never know what might click. As for well paying careers that aren't science heavy, there are tons of great options like sales, real estate, project management, human resources, logistics, marketing, or even trades like electrician and plumbing work which are in huge demand right now. Business and supply chain roles are also worth looking into because they're more about problem solving, organization, and working with people than anything super technical. Certifications can also be a game changer for standing out in a competitive job market, since they show employers you're motivated and willing to go the extra mile without needing a fancy degree right away. The biggest thing I'd say is don't wait for motivation to find you, just start doing things and the interest will follow. You're only a junior so you have time, but the sooner you start stacking small experiences the more options you'll have when the time comes. You've got this!

There are also many careers that don’t require a science background and can still offer good pay. Some examples include business, marketing, human resources, project management, and data analysis. These fields focus more on communication, organization, and problem-solving skills rather than science subjects.
