how can I find how to get a work permit, they are no where else to get one, how and where to get one?

I cant find a work permit anywhere, I have been trying to find one because I want to get a job. a lot of these jobs are wanting a driver licence and I don't have one. help me find a work permit some where, any where so I can work soon.

Hi Jaynese,

Do you need a work permit as a foreigner in the US or a work permit for minors?

If you are under 14, you are not allowed to work with few exceptions. There is no work permit required for minors above the age of 14 in Kansas as long as they are also in school. There are restrictions as to how many hours and in what occupations a minor between 14 and 16 years of age can work though (federal and state). The employer is responsible for keeping records and observing the laws.

If you are at least 14 years old, you can get an instruction permit to learn driving. Of course, your parents would have to approve and you need someone willing to teach you.
