How do I find the field of law I want to practice ?
Hey, whoever can please guide me? I am a psychology major on a prelaw track. I want to pursue law and go to law school, but I have been seeing people who say law school is not worth it and being a lawyer is not worth it, money-wise and emotionally ( miserable). I have been told that people often recommend pursuing a career in nursing and becoming a Psychiatric nurse, or studying more neuroscience. I am in distress and no longer know what I want to do. I feel very overwhelmed because I love the law, and I have been interested in law programs since 8th grade, when I declared my intention to be a lawyer. However, now I feel questioned and tested. I want a job that I am passionate about and one that I will be mentally okay with. ALSO MONEY WISE with debts. What type of law field should I lean towards if I follow my dreams?
As a high school student from Bangladesh, how do I know what is the right major for me when I've barely been exposed to any?
I'm a 10th grader, highly interested in Computer Science and technology. I was interested in creating sustainable and environment friendly tech. But, I can't seem to figure out if it's the right choice for me, especially in the current world where automation is threatening to replace many jobs related to this major. And looking at my other academic interests, which mostly includes STEM(minus medicine), I'm having a hard time understanding what I should choose. Engineering? But what type of engineering? Biology? Both my parents graduated from biology background so it has always fascinated but then again, what exactly? My parents do jobs that are totally different from their field of study now, so I've never really known what it's like to be STEM major or a STEM professional. I thought CS was it for me, but dreams aren't enough. As someone with a middle class background, I have to take into consideration scope, jobs, and pay too.
What entry level roles should I look for with an associates in business?
Hello everyone!! I am currently a junior majoring in Business admin with a Concentration in HR. I am supposed to graduate next year, but I am severely burnt out and my mental health is declining. I also had other factors in my life happen recently which made things worse. I am receiving therapy and getting help right now. My plan is to find full time employment, take a semester or two off of school and then resume part time college while working full time. That being said, I have an associates in business with a very strong customer service background. What type of entry level roles should I target with that degree? I am also interested in healthcare/social work and other areas of business as well. I would love to gain experience before I go back to school. Let me know any good ideas!! Thank you!

What's the one thing you would do differently if you could travel back in time to where you started your career / coding journey?
As a self-taught web developer, at some point during my coding journey, I got distracted and switched to a different language just out of curiosity. (switch from JavaScript to Python). Three months later, I realized that Python or Data science isn't really my thing. (I definitely see the beauty and power of Python!) However, I love JavaScript or Front-end web development more than extracting insights from data set. So for me, I would definitely tell myself to FOCUS on one language if I could travel back in time. 1. What about you? 2. What kind of advice would you give yourself if life can rewind and replay? I'm asking this question because it allows me learn valuable lessons / insights from others' story! (If you don't mind sharing!) As always, Thank you for your time in reading this post and sharing your story! I wish you all the best & take care of yourself! #career #business #coding #professional #timeTravel #Focus #programming #webdevelopment #python #javascript #careerguidance #education #Learning #careeradvice #careerchoices #technology
