I’m a student who is interested in working in the healthcare field in the future. I want to learn which skills are most important to start developing now, both in school and outside of school. I’m especially interested in skills like communication, teamwork, responsibility, and empathy, and how these skills are used in healthcare careers.

How do you respond to "tell me a bit about yourself" professionally?

I've been asked this a lot recently in scholarship applications, and I never know how to respond in a way that sounds professional. Starting with "my name is..." feels redundant when your application already has it listed. I just have no idea how to start.
