I'm currently interested in Anthropology, but the adults in my life are telling me it's not a viable choice to study. How has the job market or the process of getting your degree been? Is it worth it?

I'm currently a high school junior also interested in the social sciences in general, but I'm not very committed to anything yet.

how to cold email for research opportunities?

Hi! I'm currently a sophomore and 15 years old. I want to start cold emailing for research opportunities, but I'm not sure where to begin. Should I email a professor or a graduate student and ask if they know of any professors who have openings? I saw someone recommend that approach. Do you have any tips or a template I could use? I don't have any impressive extracurricular activities or experience, but I am interested in pre-med. Please help!!

How can an undergraduate in Biomedical Engineering build a strong research trajectory early on, and what mistakes should I avoid / opportunities should I seek as I prepare for a career in biomedical R&D?

I am a third year Biomedical engineering undergraduate, studying at the University of Texas at San Antonio. I have two more years remaining in my program before I graduate. I currently volunteer in a cardiac device innovation lab, assisting graduate students in research regarding imaging of coronary arteries. Eventually I hope to be involved in medical device innovation. What steps should I take now to become a competitive researcher?

What are some good tips and/or career paths that I can follow?

I have developed a passion for productive meetings and looking at statistics and trends. Every stat and trend has a story! I love reading and understanding where the numbers come from and I love correlating on how to grow and improve this "story!"

How do I break down a term paper?

Why is writing a term paper so difficult, and how do I break it down to its simplest form so I do not get overwhelmed? I use APA7 format, and I struggle with it so much. Finding headings and how to word things to sound interesting, yet technical, is trying.
