How can I build a portfolio in high school to get into IT?

I am already in a dual enrollment program taking IT classes, which I am aware is a very big step. However, I would like to know if there's any other things I could be doing to increase my chances of getting an IT position somewhere. I would like to try and be as desirable as possible as an employee, to hopefully get me far in life in the future doing something I enjoy.

Is AI/ML still worth pursuing long-term, or will automation kill those jobs too?

I’m choosing a major soon. From your experience, will AI/ML and math-based tech careers stay stable and useful in the next 10–30 years? Which parts of your job are hardest to automate? What skills will still matter even if AI gets stronger? What would you tell a 16-year-old starting now? im a sophomore student in high school in Budapest, I really like ai, tech, math, computer science and coding related stuff right now. everyone tells me that once I graduate high school in the next 2-3 years, ai will automated everything and these fields would be useless in the next 10 years. and my plan at first was to move somewhere nice even if its not improved in tech but work remotely in these fields but now im scared that by then id probably have low chances of getting a remote job. or I might have to be in countries with fast improving tech. I barely have info on anything and nobody around me specializes in these stuff so im clueless and only rely on random articles and exaggerated research and now im scared that I ight have to take a major in subjects I absolutely hate.

Internship opportunities

I am still stuck on my life beyond high-school. I know that College and the army reserves are paths that I will most likely take. I am also looking into the medical field as I am very interested on making an impact on people's lives and also making the world a better place no matter how small. I also need to find internships that will give me some insight on the field, so I can get early experience and build on my decision. Any recommendations of free internships in Columbia SC will be greatly interested. I am still undecided about what specialty, hopefully I make a decision soon, I don't wasnt rush the process and make a decision I regret though. Goodluck to me.

How long would I have to go to college for if I'm interested in American Sign Language interpretation?

I am interested in a career involving ASL, particularly being a translator or working in Deaf Education. How many years would I have to go to college? I researched it a bit and came up with about twelve years. This isn't an automatic deal breaker for me, but that is a very long time, and I want to consider it before applying to colleges. I am a high school junior by the way.

Is it possible for me to go to college to be a ASL translator if before college I only have very, very basic ASL knowledge ?

I have always been very interested in being an ASL translator. However, my family has been unable to afford programs to teach me. I have learned a little through online courses, but my knowledge is limited. And I am not even sure if what I do know is correct. I really want to enhance my signing abilities, but I will not be able to take a sign language course before college.

What college majors will allow me to keep my options open towards jobs in healthcare?

I am currently a senior in high school; I am completely set that I want to have a job in healthcare in the future. I have been interested in dentistry for a while, specifically dental hygiene, though I also want to make more options available for myself in the field because my mind can always change in the long run and end up not wanting to go to the dental route. Which majors or programs would allow me to explore different paths before I really commit to one? What colleges would you recommend in Southern California? I also want to ask if I could be able to do the cc transferring to university route in my situation as well?

What programming language is the best and easiest to learn?

I’m a rising sophomore in high school, and am now starting to realize how important being able to code is, especially if I want to land internships and research positions. So, I’m planning to learn over the next few months, but I wanted to know what programming language would be the best to learn. I am not planning to pursue computer science in any means, but I do want to have some basic knowledge so I can put it on my resume. Mostly, I am aiming to land internships in biology and chemistry as I want to go into pre-med.

Can you help me study more efficiently?

I've noticed that I tend to receive lower grades on my math and English Language Arts (ELA) finals than I expect. While I usually score high on quizzes and tests, often earning A's and occasionally B's, I generally understand the material and concepts well. However, on the finals, I typically get B's when I had hoped to achieve at least an A-. I suspect the issue arises from my study habits; I usually only study a few days before the finals and often resort to cramming, which causes me to miss some important concepts. Therefore, I am seeking effective study methods to improve my academic performance. I plan to start studying two weeks before each final, but I'm wondering if that will be enough.
