How do I figure out what job in the medical field would best suit me?
I’ve been interested in pediatrics, or dentistry, but I’m not sure. There are a lot of medical careers out there. I want to make sure I’m making the right choice.

Well, I'd say that any medical field has a sense of satisfaction and joy especially when you get to treat patients and see them recover. There is no greater joy.
Since you have your desire around pediatrics or dentistry,which i must say are good choices,my advice would be simple.
You can take dentistry for example and then major on pediatric dentistry. This way you get to interact with the little one as you take care of their little smiles.
Personally as a dentist,i love dealing with kids mostly as they are easy to deal with,also they provide a sense of responsibility where i feel the need to protect them from the fear of unknown in the field of dentistry. As you know most people actually are afraid of dentists.
