Is this job a scam?
Hey I’ve recently connected with the CEO and founder of a startup in web design and web development and brand awareness. I asked him if he was hiring sales people and he did. He was hiring for sales people and having them paid on a commission based salary. I asked him if he could take me on an internship unpaid and he said ok. He asked me to send him his resume. So I went and created one but he replied me that it was okay if I didn’t have one. I’ll just had to send him a email talking about myself. He said that the introduction was pretty good and he hired me for the internship on the spot. I don’t know if this is a scam or not. I’ve checked on internet and nothing with scam appears. They have a instagram and a website. They look very professional on the website but the LinkedIn page said that they only had 3/4 employees. The thing that scared me the most is that I didnt have to do any interview. Should I trust this guy? He send me via email a template on how to do outreach. I don’t know could he steal my information(he has my email my name and surname and the profile picture from LinkedIn)
How can I get a Project Management Job? It's really hard :(
I’m a Management fresh graduate from one of the universities in Indonesia. I’ve been searching for a job as a Project Manager for over three months now, but I haven’t had much success. Even securing an internship has been challenging due to the high requirements—most positions ask for at least one year of professional work experience as a project manager. It feels like a paradox: how am I supposed to gain experience if even getting an internship is so difficult? I’ve also tried looking for opportunities in other ASEAN countries through LinkedIn, but the results have been the same. While I may not have professional experience as a Project Manager, I do have some relevant project management experience. I interned as a business consultant, where I managed several projects, and I also worked on project management tasks during my exchange program in Malaysia. Currently, I’m taking Google’s Project Management courses on Coursera to strengthen my skills. If anyone has advice on what I can do to improve my chances of getting hired or knows of any internship/full-time opportunities for Junior Project Manager roles, I’d greatly appreciate your insights. I am pursuing bachelor of computer applications. I have to do a summer internship for a month for my academics. Since I did not got a tech internship for such a short period of time , I decided to do an internship provided by a college. The internship I am doing is not related to technical wok. It is a marketing research intern. In internship I am doing marketing research as well linkedin marketing. My question is since it is not related to my work field, still I have to invest my time , what useful things I should ask for to learn and practice. **For everyone who doesn’t have a LinkedIn and is reading this, I’d advise you to make one right now! It helps a lot, and even just making one and adding new things to it helps so much! LinkedIn is getting increasingly more popular with both employers and job-seekers. My university highly suggests making a LinkedIn, and offers tons of workshops and presentations to urge students to get… linked in (pun most definitely intended). On Linked In, there are options for including accomplishments, projects, volunteer experience, and more. Is it better to include everything you’ve done on Linked In, or just the more important or more interesting parts? I understand it's better for your profile to reflect a balanced profile, but this gets fuzzy at times. For example, I’m currently a freshman in college. I am a high school student and I created a LinkedIn account two years ago but I do not have much on my profile and only 4 connections.
