Baristas are great, but I don’t want to go to school for 4+ years to be one. Is the job market for CS fields really that bad? I've seen so many horror stories of individuals who seem qualified but can't find a job, and if they do, the work-life balance isn't favorable. This worries me because I'm really interested/passionate, but I'm not sure whether I should invest in a more "practical" field.

I’m currently in my last semester as a Computer Information Systems (CIS) student with a focus on Data Analytics, and I’m worrying about my career after graduation. How to get a job, where to apply, and how to get hired?
I am a 14-year-old 7th grader in North Carolina, so its legal for me to apply for a job here. I have no experience at all, and I really don't know where I'd even start with getting a job. (Where I should apply, how to get hired etc.) I'm fine with working anywhere close by the city I live by (New Bern), and to be honest I am just trying to do this for the money and to get experience for future upcoming jobs to make me look better. I would prefer a job that can coach and teach me while i work to gain more skills. i wouldn't mind a in person or online job.

Is it as hard to pursue a career in IT as people say?
I find computers and working with them really interesting, and I'd love to pursue a career in IT, but I've heard many people suggest I do something else because of the competitive market. I don't need to be some fancy tech engineer with a 6 figure salary, as long as I can get a job that pays enough for me to live I'd be fine. Is it a bad idea to go into IT with the market right now? Additionally, do certain subsects of IT have better markets? eg. Cybersecurity vs computer software vs networking, etc.
