Alexander,

If you have some experience doing any work where you used tools to disassemble or reassemble things, that would show a potential employer you have some mechanical aptitude. Some high schools have a course where you can learn to work on automobiles. My high school called it "Power Mechanics". Taking a semester of auto mechanics will look good on a resume. Even if you have taken apart a lawnmower and have an understanding as to how they work will help you to get a job. Any employer who hires you will want to train you so showing them you have a genuine interest and a willingness to learn will work in your favor.

Do you or have you ever fixed your bicycle? What things did you do to it? Listing the things that you have repaired (ie. patching a tube that leaked, aligning or tightening the chain, adjusting the height of the seat). Even demonstrating you have done preventative maintenance will show you are interested in repairing mechanical things. Have you ever checked to make sure you have enough oil in the lawn mower engine, filled up the windshield washer fluid in your parent's car, or checked the air pressure in a tire? All of these things would demonstrate some mechanical interest and ability to me. I would consider this as mechanical experience.

I hope this helps. Best of luck.
