WHat can i put on my resume as a 10th grader who is interested in landscaping?
I have some experience in landscaping, like working with my dad and taking care of my own lawn and my neighbor's, and I know how to do different types of cuts, and I know how to use all of the machines

Hi Luis,
You already have strong, relevant experience, just structure it like this:
1. Objective
“Hardworking student interested in landscaping, with hands-on experience in lawn care and equipment use.”
2. Experience
Landscaping (Self-employed / Family work)
• Maintained own lawn and neighbor’s yards
• Performed different types of cuts (mowing, edging, trimming)
• Used landscaping equipment (lawnmower, trimmer, etc.)
• Assisted with landscaping projects alongside parent
3. Skills
• Lawn maintenance & yard care
• Equipment handling
• Attention to detail
• Reliability & time management
4. Work Ethic / Extras
• Consistent work helping family
• Trusted to manage tasks independently
Also, call it “Self-employed Landscaping”….. it sounds more professional and shows initiative.
All the best

I've hired hundreds of workers - what I look for in young applicants is their experience, if any, and it looks like you have some. I look just as hard at how they present themselves in a resume and in person. I like to see a strong interest in the work they want to perform and an air of professionalism. A friendly demeanor is a big plus. It looks like a smart career move that can't be replaced by a chatbot. Wishing you very good luck.
